3D Laser Scanning

3D Laser scanning is the process of capturing the physical form of an object and converting it to a digital 3 dimensional model.

Once 3D scanning is performed on your maquette or sculpture we will modify the 3D model according to your requirements. Please contact us for your specific needs.

We use only professional grade scanning equipment to make sure that the tiniest details of your sculpture are captured.

Because not all laser scanners can perform the same tasks, we employ a combination of 7-Axis CMM style and stationary digitizing equipment to make sure that all operations are completed with the most suitable device.

The produced 3D model data is used in many of our other services including enlargement, reduction, modification, etc.. More frequently artists are digitizing their sculptures for archival purposes. The digital versions of the sculptures can be stored on computer backup systems or media such as CD for later retrieval. If the original physical sculpture is later lost, stolen, or damaged a new copy can be produced from the archived 3D model data.

Using state of the art software we are able to make accurate measurements of the 3D model at any desirable scale. Information such as surface area, volume, and dimensional data can be extracted to aid in casting and overall project planning.
