7-Axis Robotic Milling

Todays advanced CNC milling technology coupled with state of the art Computer Aided Manufacturing software have replaced the old-age technigues for enlarging and reducing sculptures.

A 3D computer model representing your sculpture is imported into Computer Aided Manufacturing software. That software is then used to create complex multi-axis "toolpaths," paths by which the cutting head of our robotic milling system will move and mill away material from a block to create your sculpture.

Due to the fact that our milling system has 7-Axes complex shapes can be milled in a variety of materials ranging from small to monumental size.

In the image on your right, the artist herself was 3D laser scanned to create a 3D computer model. That model was then used to mill her out of EPS Foam at a lifesize scale.
